这场名为《All-In》的演讲，也让现场的许多同学热泪盈眶，峰会学生提前批倒计时仅剩不到36小时，我们也想通过这段演讲告诉你，为什么这么多优秀高中生都爱 HSYLC ？

When I started to put together this speech, I did not know how to begin. There were so many things that happened at HSYLC, so many emotions, so many memories, so many new faces, so many late nights, so many deep conversations, so many homework to grade, so many moments to talk about, and if I were to speak about all of them, you would all be here until HSYLC 2018. Instead, I will just focus on one – the so many All-Ins that happened at this conference.
译：当我被邀请发表这场毕业典礼演讲时，我真的不知该用什么样的语言开场。在哈佛峰会发生了太多太多难以用语言描述的难忘经历，那么多的情感、那么多的回忆；那么多年轻的笑脸、那么多熬夜做课题的夜晚；那么多直击灵魂的对话、那么多优秀学生的作业等着我去批改…有那么多值得一说的事情，而如果我一一道来，恐怕大家要在这里一直陪我听到2018年的哈佛峰会了！所以我决定今天只挑一件事和你们分享——那就是在这场峰会上无时无刻不在上演的那些“全力以赴”（All-in）。
For those of you who did not take my seminar or attend the poker extracurricular, All-In refers to a decision of a player to bet all their (fake) money on a single outcome, risking everything for victory. I was initially puzzled why all of my poker students were so eager to go All-in even after I told them I would punish those who lose all their pretend money with push-ups and singing. My seminar B and D students, I am looking at you.（全场笑）
译：对于那些今年没有选我开的哈佛小班课“棋牌中的博弈理论”的同学们，解释一下，“全力以赴”指的是在棋牌中，一个棋手决定为了冲刺胜利而不惜在一个回合中就投入他全部的筹码和希望。上课的一开始，我非常吃惊为什么我课上所有的学生都那么急于在比赛中选择“全力以赴”，哪怕我极力劝阻他们，并惩罚那些全力以赴后输了比赛的同学做俯卧撑和当堂唱歌。对，我的小班课B和D的同学们，我就在说你们。（全场笑）
But now I know that All-in is really the spirit of HSYLC. Hangzhou No. 2 High School, this is your second year going all-in at HSYLC, all-in with the security in making us feel safe, all-in with the food to serve meals that are better than even at Harvard, and all-in with the support to let us seminar leaders use your facilities to make a difference on these students.
译：但在今天这个毕业的日子，我终于理解了，原来“全力以赴”正是哈佛峰会的一种精神。我想对主办学校之一杭州二中的老师们说：这是你们第二年为了哈佛峰会“全力以赴”，全力以赴为杭州会场的全体师生提供比哈佛食堂更美味的伙食，全力以赴提供一个封闭和安全的校园保障这么多全世界最优秀的哈佛和中国学生的安全，全力以赴让远道而来的哈佛学者们使用你们美丽的校园、为最优秀的中国学生带来改变一生的成长体验。
Staff, you went all-in with your diligence and determination. You were always the first to wake up and the last to go to bed. I was part of staff for the previous three HSYLCs and I understand wholeheartedly the struggles you went through for us. I speak on behalf of the seminar leaders and students when I say thank you.
译：我想对哈佛峰会的工作人员说：你们用刻苦与决心展现了你们的“全力以赴”。你们永远是第一个起床、最晚睡觉的人，日夜无休撑起整个峰会的运营和组织工作。作为曾经三年担任工作人员的一份子，我深刻地理解你们为了营造这个峰会的一切所付出的艰苦卓绝的努力。代表全体哈佛授课人和学生，我向你们道一声“谢谢”。
My fellow SLs, you guys went all-in with your energy and commitment to your students. Tawanda, you never stopped dancing for your students, Karl, Ian, Alex, you guys kept the cocktail party alive even after the music broke. Ariana, you were such an inspiring teacher we all wanted to follow your example. Laura and Darrin, there’s nothing you would not do for our beloved Lux House. Jennifer, you choreographed our SL dance. Taras, you created the amazing speakers in our students. Patrick & Gabi, you got Pax to cheer so loudly you almost went war with the neighboring Spes and Lux. You all really went all-in with everything you got.

Students, you more so than anyone else went all-in with this conference.You stay up late to finish your homework, wake up early to rehearse for talent show, successfully resisted yawning during seminars and I have never seen a group more hard-working. I made my HSYLC Plus seminar to be one of the most difficult and some of you still asked for extra work. There was not an ounce of energy you would not spend on this conference. Many of you feel that we at Harvard inspired you, but the reality is you have inspired us.
译：我想对亲爱的同学们说：你们比任何其他人都更完美地诠释了“全力以赴”的精神。你们点灯熬油完成你们的哈佛小班课作业和团队课题，而清晨又开始排练你们的才艺展示表演，但在白天的课堂里却能成功抵抗瞌睡，保持饱满的热情参与课堂讨论，我从未见过像你们一样拼命的学生。今年峰会我教的是一门“深度研讨班”，所以我已经把博弈论的内容设计的很难了，然而我课上的学生依然在完成作业后还希望我给他们更多的挑战。你们不放过17岁年纪的任何一丝热情和能量，全力以赴去完成这场峰会的每一个学术挑战、团队合作任务、和跨文化的碰撞。你们很多人都一直说，来自哈佛的授课人激励着你们，可是你们其实不知道，你们才是深深鼓舞着我们所有哈佛授课人的源泉。
As you move on to your final years of high school and beyond, you will definitely be faced with more and more difficult challenges. Whenever you feel defeated, I want you to think back to this HSYLC experience and how you all rose up to the challenge. When you feel down, I want you to find the courage and the will to go all-in just like you did here at HSYLC. When luck shuts the door, you have to come in from the window.The highest achieving individuals are those who are resilient and willing to put everything on the line.
译：随着你们即将进入高中的最后几年、进入人生以后的阶段，你们无疑会遇到更困难和棘手的挑战。今后如果哪个时刻你感到被困难打倒，我希望你回头想想这次在哈佛峰会的经历，想想今天你们每一个人是怎样勇敢地迎难而上，对你们的挑战全力以赴。当你感到低落的时候，我希望你能够找回今天的这种勇气，就像在哈佛峰会时一样去全力以赴。当你的运气之门关上，你需要做的就是再找一扇窗户爬进来。世界上所有那些取得最大成就的人，都是那些最具意志力、愿意付出一切向着成功进发的人。
